How To Promote Yourself As An Expert

Be the designer of your dreams.

What I am trying to tell you is to Self promote, build your personal brand. 

We can say simply, "Personal Branding and Self-Promotion".

Shamelessly promote yourself. You won't be contacted for a job if people don't know you. Or people who actually know you, don't know what you do.

Why did you start, if you don't want to be known for it?

Talk about yourself so much that in a couple of days, weeks, months or years, other people will spread word about you and you don't even have to say anything anymore.

It's actually not that hard. Simply, start from where you are. If you still feel it is difficult, tell your story to just one person. Most times, all you need is for just that one person to hear your story. You can change their life or they can change yours. But you'll never find out who it is, if you don't begin to tell people you meet. 

You have value to give. Share it. Sell it. Don't just sit on it.

Self-Promotion is also the beginning of enlarging your capacity and skill set. It charges you to do more. It is also the launch pad for growth. This is because it's a ripple effect. You tell your story to one person. They go ahead to tell someone else. That second person returns to hear your story and then, it goes from mouth to ears.

Before you know it, an entire community is built around you.

However, not all of us can be so articulate in telling our story or in self promotion. Leverage your relationships with friends and family. Leverage on your networks. Trust me, for many people around you, all you need to do is say go and the job is done.

Remember to always recognize your worth, you work so hard to create whatever it is you're building. The world needs to see it and you need to get the satisfaction and fulfilment that you desire from doing it.
