5 Ways to Boss Up Your Brand

In today’s society, thousands of new brands and businesses get started on the daily. Anyone can say that they have a brand, especially through the ease of the most popular social media platform known as Instagram. Post a picture here and there with a caption and BOOM! That’s it! 

Throughout the years, I’ve worked on various projects for different companies that keep on going back and forth to determine how to identify their brand. Branding 101 seems simple, but it’s far from that. 

Here are the five W’s to success model for branding that I follow:

1. Who?

- Who is your primary audience? You need to determine who can relate to your brand and who it speaks to. You also need to ask yourself, if your brand is a true representation of yourself.

2. What?

- What does your brand stand for? You need to be able to state what products or services you offer clearly. You need to know what content you can provide without hesitation,

3. When?

- When will you launch? Time to put the game plan in action! You need to know when you will start publicizing your brand. How often you plan to educate yourself about building your brand, showcasing your services and networking for your brand.

4. Where?

- Where will you share your brand information? There are so many social media platforms available nowadays. You need to determine if the use of one or more will be necessary or if you would prefer solely face to face interactions/ walk-ins.

5. Why?

- Why do you have your brand? This question is directly targeted at you. Get out a pen and paper and physically write down the purpose of your brand and what you plan to achieve.
