Continuing The Process Of Self-Growth

Beautiful black woman.jpg

Last year proved to be a year of self-growth, learning what I truly need to be happy and what I can live without. This year I want to resume my course of personal growth by creating new routines to continue on my path of becoming my most authentic self, living a life I most genuinely desire. To do this, I need to spend my time doing activities I love, working on tasks I am passionate about, and living in a way that aligns with my life intentions. So, I ask myself:

 What do I truly love?

 What am I passionate about?

 What are my life intentions?

As I write the answers down, I start to think of ways I can incorporate those things into my life. I start by writing out how I can add one new activity, hobby, or task into a current routine. I think about my day-to-day schedule, how I spend my time currently. Then I ask myself:

What activities could I spend less time doing?

What is my biggest time waster?

What can I remove from my current routine(s) that no longer serves me?

Asking these questions and writing out the answers helps to sort out what is already known to my mind. It allows my thoughts to transfer onto paper and gives me the opportunity to see through a clearer lens. These questions asked helps organize my thoughts to allow the creation of specific action steps that will guide me to reaching my goals.

Now, as I actively add a new activity, hobby, or task to my one of my daily or weekly routines that brings me joy, or remove something that no longer serves me, I ask myself:

Does this feel right? Or do I feel overwhelmed?

Can I see myself doing this long-term?

 What are the benefits?

The answers to these questions make me confident in my choices. I welcome the benefits of self-growth. I trust the process of my journey. I look forward to the results.
