Becoming Vegan Has It's Benefits
The popular questions most people ask when I reveal that I’m vegan is: “Why?” and “Don’t you miss eating meat?” Sometimes I do miss it but my gut does not. Truthfully speaking I was, in a sense, forced to make some drastic changes to my diet.
Over time (as I got older), and for a long time something was not right. I started feeling sluggish, moody, uncomfortable, and just horrible. My digestive tract was way off, and everything seemed abnormal. I went to two doctors, had a few tests done, and even had a colonoscopy with no solid diagnosis resulting.
I was a little apprehensive at first because I didn’t know what to expect, but I knew I had to do something. Surprisingly, I discovered that just about anything we’ve been accustomed to eating for centuries on end can be made into a healthier vegan version.
This switch in diet and incorporating exercise has made an impressionable difference. Since I’ve taken my health more seriously now, this transformation has me looking and feeling fabulous.
I joined a Facebook group called Vegan Soul Food, and talk about mouth watering deliciousness. So many bright, colorful and flavorful dishes being posted there that I am eager to make. I love to eat too so this will definitely suit my fancy.
There are many celebrities that have made the switch as well (check it out here). My all-time favorite vegan celebrity is Ms. Tabitha Brown, who is such a beautifully spirited inspiration.
If you are looking to start now or even after careful consideration to live a healthier lifestyle, then I encourage you wholeheartedly to try the vegan way. Trust and believe you won’t be disappointed.
